LOCAL AREA GUIDE & THINGS TO DO

Manasota Key

Manasota Key is an enchanting barrier island off the coast of Englewood where there are no high-rises, no traffic lights, just a two-lane road and three pristine Beaches. There are low-rise multi-family condos and apartments on the south end of the island. The north end has private homes on one-acre lots, tucked behind lush tropical foliage. Resort Accommodations are numerous and several quality Restaurants are nearby and as close as neighboring Venice.

Venice

The area around Venice is rightly famous for its beaches. Beautiful white sand, clear turquoise waters and beautiful natural vegetation all combine to make this one of the most outstanding parts of coastland in the US. The historic and picturesque town of Venice, and the pleasant seaside community of Englewood, are ideal for those looking for a beach holiday in a lovely area combining a good range of attractions and entertainment with a laid-back atmosphere not found in some of the bigger cities. Port Charlotte, just a bit further down the coast, has many great beaches and a pleasant relaxed atmosphere.

Englewood

Englewood is known as the "Gem of the Sun Coast", "the Heart of the Sun Coast", "a bit of Heaven on Earth",, "a place unspoiled by high rises and high prices", and "where the livin is easy". Englewood is a community of communities, set comfortably on an area straddling two counties, harbored by several small islands and magnificent beaches in a tropical setting. Englewood is a beach community that thrives on its cultural events, nature parks, beaches, fishing, boating, and so much more. Englewood Beach offers recreation areas, boardwalk, picnic tables, and concession stands as well as conveniently located nearby restaurants, shops, and nightclubs. Walking south from Englewood Beach is Stump Pass Beach; a narrow strip of beach that offers anglers a great place to fish. "Cruizin On Dearborn" - First Saturday Night of the month, enjoy "Cars and Oldies Music" from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.

Sarasota

Sarasota and the surrounding area are blessed with dazzling white beaches, warm turquoise waters, lush green vegetation and dramatic sunsets. Add to this the huge range of cultural and natural attractions in the area and the charm of the Keys, the sandy islands just off the coast, and you can see why the area is so popular with residents and visitors alike. As well as the beautiful scenery, Sarasota itself offers a fantastic range of museums and galleries as well as a resident ballet company, opera house and some good theatres. Nearby Bradenton on the southern shores of the Manatee river boasts similarly rich cultural and social attractions. We offer a wide range of villas in this area, both on the mainland and on the beautiful Keys just off the coast, each with its own distinctive personality.

Beaches

Whether you prefer a wild, undeveloped stretch of sand or a beach with every possible amenity, you`re certain to find it here. Choose one of several lovely beaches, that line the coast. As well as all the usual beach activities and watersports, the area offers beachcombers a chance to search for prehistoric sharks` teeth - more are found here than almost anywhere else in the world.
